gestalt theory
contrast
emphasis
repetation
movement
1, contrast
Contrast is the contrast between the subject and the rest of the image to bring it into focus. When visual elements are placed in a composition, contrast draws attention to them. You can also create contrast by using other objects in the image. By changing the scale or size, you can contrast large objects with small ones.
2,emphasis
Emphasis is used to attract a viewer's attention to the focal. point, or main subject, of an artwork. For example, in a portrait the artist usually wants you to see the subject's face first, so the artist will use color, contrast, and placement to direct where your eye is attracted.
3,Gestalt theory
In the simplest terms, gestalt theory is based on the idea that the human brain will attempt to simplify and organize complex images or designs that consist of many elements, by subconsciously arranging the parts into an organized system that creates a whole, rather than just a series of disparate elements.
4,Movement
It is not about objects in motion, but about the movement of the viewer's eyes over the composition. Artists and photographers carefully control the movement of the eye around their work.
5,Reptation
Repetition is simply repeating a single element many times in a design. For example, you could draw a line horizontally and then draw several others next to it.
